First and foremost, thank you for showing interest in our story. A very big hello from Andy, Clint and John. Our journey began with simply a passion for entertaining and playing games with our family and friends. Growing up playing all kinds of TTRP, TCG and video games from places in town like Gamestation, Game and Electronics Boutique (if you are old enough to remember it)
Like lots of folks, as we got older our love of gaming reminded us of those old games we use to play such as HeroQuest, Talisman, Ghost Castle and also how human interaction is so important to live happy, healthy lives.
We have been close friends for over 20 years and regularly meet up for board games nights. We do like to play all variety of games but our usual go-to's are social deduction and coop. Some of our current favourites are Cosmic Encounter, Thunder Road, Return to Dark Tower and Final Girl. We also run and take part in various activities like Blood on the Clocktower, D&D, Online Twilight Imperium, and miniature painting.
Andy
(who couldn't find a better picture) A jack of all trades and master of most of them. His board game collection is impressive but not as impressive as his Dev and crafting skills. Our tables, crokinole boards, and website / "Guru" software are his babies. Board & Bean would not be as unique and exciting as it is without Andy's passion and skill.
Clinton
Look around our amazing spaces, without Clint this would not be possible. Clint will be the smiling face you will most likely see when you enter our relaxed and inviting areas.
John
John will be arranging and managing the amazing events we will be hosting, as well as keeping you all up to date with the latest on our socials. He already hosts with his regular board game groups and wants to bring the love of gaming to the wider Chesterfield area and beyond.
We are all Chesterfield born and bred. We want to bring back some of that great community spirit our town once had. We believe providing a safe and relaxed area for people to play, eat, drink, and socialise is just what the town needs. Our focus will be on locally sourced food and drink to complement our gaming establishment.
Board & Bean has something for everyone and is inclusive of all, regardless of age, gender, race, sexuality, or background knowledge. Come and experience something that we believe is completely unique to the area. Have fun, make some new friend, play some great games and crush your enemies.
