Unless you have an allergy we cannot cater to, we do not allow customers to bring in their own food and drink.
Yes, we try our best to accommodate allergies. Please speak to a member of staff about any allergens so we can inform you of any risks.
Board & Bean is well lit and designed to provide a relaxed atmosphere so you won’t find any flashing lights during normal operating hours. Flashing lights may sometimes be used during our special events so please e-mail us if you plan to attend one of these events and are sensitive to flashing lights.

Yes, we offer a variety of child-friendly games and have high chairs available for the little ones.
Yes, If your pooch is well behaved we would love to see them. There may be a treat or 2 on offer as well. Fear not if you are nervous of animals we have 2 large rooms on offer to ensure everyone is comfortable.
Yes, the main entrance is accessible to wheelchairs and pushchairs. However, please note that the raised area with larger tables is not accessible. The toilets can be accessed through another door to the right of the main entrance.
Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult (ie. someone over 18) at all times.
Children under 16 (accompanied by an adult) are welcome to attend until 9pm. This is due our alcohol licensing requirements.
There may be age restrictions on some of the events we host.
There is a 20-minute car park outside (free and unlimited parking after 6 pm). Additionally, there are multi-storey car parks and "The Donut" just a few minutes' walk away.
We’re pretty relaxed here at Board & Bean and we don’t have a dress code. Please be sensible and don't wear anything you believe would be offensive to others.

For events with an agreed minimum spend, we require a notice period of 14 days before your booking. Cancellations after this period will not receive a refund.

Yes, you are welcome to bring your own games. We hope to have all the games you want to play.
Yes, Chesterfield main bus depot is on our doorstep, and the train station is less than a 10-minute walk away.
Yes, as long as there is availability you can extend your session. We are not like some Board Game cafes, if you are close to finishing and there is availability we will not be chasing you out or forcing you to extend.
Yes, we would like you to book before your visit but of course you can and we will try our best to accommodate you.
Yes, we accept both card and cash payments.
Yes, we offer a variety of drinks, including draught and bottled alcohol, cocktails, soft drinks, and an array of hot beverages. We'll provide extra details and previews of our menus as soon as we can!

We have smaller tables for 2-player games and larger tables that can cater to up to 8 people. We even have a single seating bar for solo players to play small games.
