Players will collect three new commodities-paper, cloth, and coins-alongside traditional resources. Cities now produce a mix of resources and commodities, making it easier to build city improvements that can earn points. The game also features three different decks of cards that offer unique advantages, which players can gain by building improvements. Knights can be built along your roads, allowing you to defend against barbarian attacks and claim key intersections. Protecting the island successfully can lead to rewards, while failing to defend may result in downgrading your cities.
