Catan: Explorers & Pirates invites players to set sail on a grand adventure across three mysterious islands. Starting on a known island, you will build ships and send settlers to explore uncharted territories. The game introduces port settlements, which can be built in place of cities and provide valuable resources when their numbers are rolled.

Players must also contend with pirates on the open waters. If you find yourself without resources during a turn, you can receive gold as compensation, which can be traded for the resources you need or used to escape from pirate threats. With five unique scenarios to choose from, you can explore, fish, and capture pirate lairs, all while racing to achieve victory points. Each scenario offers a different challenge, ensuring that every game feels fresh and exciting.
