In Ghost Stories, players join forces as Taoist monks to protect their village from the dark forces of Wu-Feng and his ghostly minions. Each turn brings new challenges as ghosts invade the village, each with unique abilities that can hinder your progress. Players must work together to exorcise these spirits and prevent them from haunting the town. Movement across different village tiles allows players to tap into special bonuses, like reviving fallen monks or regaining valuable resources.

To exorcise a ghost, players roll colorful Tao dice, matching the colors to the ghosts' resistance. If the dice don't roll in your favor, you can use special tokens earned through gameplay to help. The ultimate goal is to defeat Wu-Feng, who appears at the end of the game, but be careful! Losing can happen in multiple ways, such as if too many village tiles become haunted or if all the monks fall in battle. Gather your friends and see if you can save the village from the looming darkness!
