To gather resources, players influence the advisers of the King's Council by placing dice on them. The player with the lowest sum of influence gets to choose first, creating opportunities even for those with less favorable rolls. Each adviser offers different rewards, from resources and soldiers to victory points. As the five years progress, players can choose various strategies to win, whether by focusing on military strength, economic growth, or completing grand projects like the Cathedral to impress the King.
