In Mutants, 1-4 players mix and match genetics to create powerful warriors for battle in the arena. The goal is to dominate the competition and freeze valuable mutants to earn Victory Points. The player with the most points at the end of five rounds wins the game.

Each round involves players taking turns using all the cards in their hand. At the end of the round, players score points based on their position on the arena track. On your turn, you'll check if you've outperformed your rivals, move your Active Mutant, and then choose one action: deploy a mutant from your hand, breed a new mutant card, or incubate a mutant for future battles. There's also a solo mode called Uprising, where you aim to defeat a boss instead of collecting points. Each point you earn reduces the boss's life, and winning means bringing the boss's life to zero!
