A global outbreak of diseases is spreading rapidly, and players become specialists working together to stop it. The goal is to treat hotspots and find cures for four different plagues before they spiral out of control. A global outbreak of diseases is spreading rapidly, and players become specialists working together to stop it. The goal is to treat hotspots and find cures for four different plagues before they spiral out of control. The game board features major cities around the world, and players take turns using actions to travel, treat infected areas, discover cures, or build research stations.

Each player has a unique role that brings special abilities to the team, like the Operations Expert who builds research stations to help with mobility, or the Scientist who can cure diseases with fewer cards. As players draw cards, they face Epidemic! cards that increase the challenge. If players can cure all four diseases, they win together; if the diseases spread too far or time runs out, everyone loses.
