In Yokai Sketch, children explore a magical forest filled with mysterious yokai, or supernatural creatures. To learn about these spirits, players draw them in their sketchbooks. The aim is to collect more yokai points than your opponent by completing these sketches.

The game features two decks of cards: one with different yokai linked to the elements of water, fire, earth, and wind, and another with human-made sketches that also represent two of those elements. Players take turns drawing sketch cards and placing yokai cards under the element decks in the center. If the total number of sketches on both sides meets the requirement for a yokai, the player with the most sketches wins that card. The game continues until one or more yokai decks are empty, making for a fun and engaging experience for the whole family!
